Sausage Meat Stuffing

1 lb. Sausagemeat
1 Chopped onion
1 Stick of celery
2 Tabs. dried parsley flakes
3 Tabs. Melted butter
1 ½ Tabs. Sage
3 Cups of breadcrumbs
Salt and Pepper

Fry sausagemeat, drain well and combine with the other ingredients. Stuff turkey or chicken. Cook extra mixture in a loaf tin at 350 degrees F for approx. 30 minutes. I usually add a little extra butter to the top of the mixture in the cake tin. This also works well with vegetarian ground.

Do you think hamburger could replace the sausage in the recipe?

I honestly don't know I have never tried that. I can't see why not, though I would possibly add extra butter. Once you mix it, as the hamburger will already be cooked, taste it and adjust ingredients as necessary.

I never liked stuffing as a kid but I love it now. ;p
