Garden

In the frustration of still not being allowed to garden, I decided to play around with my husband's camera. I have still to decide on a new one myself and usually find the one Sam uses to be too small. I am also just learning to post photographs, so it is hit and miss, as I really haven't a clue what I am doing!! nothing unusual there! Just a few from the garden--I hope!!

These are lovely pictures! I like the first one best.

I'm going to be honest and admit that apart from the obvious ones like roses, tulips, sunflowers and so on, I don't know much about flowers BUT I enjoy looking at them. You have a lovely garden.

I think the most frustrating part of this summer has been seeing all that needs to be done!!! My husband, who is not a gardener, has been great at watering and luckily I had the baskets etc, done.

The top one is lovely, we just had six of them bloom.
I am glad you enjoyed them.:))

Ooooh YES!!!!! You did splendid posting those photos.
Those yellow roses look magnificent and the hanging baskets are just thriving! AND, your lawn is green! :))) Am a little envious of that, but not too much, lol!
I always get so happy looking at garden pictures, so simply said... your post made me HAPPY!!!

We just had six of the roses bloom, they are lovely.

My baskets are never planned, just what I decide to put in that day. I can never remember from one year to the next!!

We just had some rain, hence the green lawn! it won't last.

I am glad the pictures made you happy----I am surprised I was able to post them!!

By trial and error, I found the best way was to load onto scrapbook first. There may be another way, I don't know.

Glad you liked the photographs.

http://twicet.livejournal.com/25182.html#cutid1 This explains my lack of gardening!!!

Lovely to see your post.:))

Remembering that I am not a tech, by any stretch of the imagination!!
To post: click "Insert Image" and choose the "Image form Scrapbook Gallery" then choose your pic.
To put under a cut:

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the hugs, it really is much better.:)

Ooh. Pretty. I like the 'lawn' pic, except it's not the lawn but the lovely garden surrounding it that I love.

Think I like the 'big picture' of gardens more than the individual bits.

Pretty. :)

Do you at least get to sit on that bench there some?

Sam bought me a great garden recliner!! I have enjoyed it, but I still lots I want to do!!!

The kids have been great and done some weeding, so really I have nothing to complain about. Will stop with the whining now!!

I'm living in my daughters house. The garden I have will not be ready until next spring. I do get to start from scratch. It's a muddy mess right now.
Yours is beautiful. Is your back a chronic situation? I hope not. Heal quickly.

I do get to start from scratch. A lot of hard work! but you do get to do it the way you want, that is rather nice.

Back is chronic, but below explains this summer;

I love being in my garden. In some ways it has been quite peaceful this summer---as long as I don't look at the weeds!!

A lovely garden, I'm of no use in gardening, never know what to remove.
But I'm really good at laying on the lawn with a book. ;)

We are very lucky as we live half-way up a mountain, surrounded by another three of them, all covered in trees.

The trees at the bottom of the garden, are a small wooded area which separate us from the local school.:))

Those mountains and your garden and backyard are heaven!! The pictures are great.

What is the flower by the rhododendron? I have those leaves in a flowerbed that needs to be revived.

I'm just reading your post about what happened this summer. Will comment there.

I'm absolutely awful about reading my friends' page and it's hit and miss what email notifications I receive. I will never intentionally ignore your posts. :)

Enjoy your evening.

Thank you! That's it. It's an Iris.

I received my Vesey seeds catalogue today, as well as a new fall bulbs catalogue. I'm a little excited, even though I made a big order two weeks ago. Eeeekk!
