I am an avid Alan Rickman fan and would have given my life savings to have seen him on stage in "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" In "Closet Land" a film used by Amnesty International in their teaching about torture techniques, he was bone chilling.
"Dark Harbor" is really a film about betrayal and sexual desire, regardless of the cost to others. I would agree with a review which said, "it was cut a little too choppily" At times the sound could also be better. That having been said I have watched this film several times in the past. It is easy to miss things first time round. I don't want to say too much in case of spoiling it. If you choose to check out You Tube, which does have the complete movie, avoid the clips with the final scene, it really will spoil the experience for you.
